Ten Minerva University students have been chosen as Millennium Fellows in a prestigious global program that honors bold student leadership advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals on campuses and communities globally.
From more than 52,000 applicants from over 6,000 campuses across 170 countries, the program selected just 5 percent, based on the high quality of applicants.
The 10 will take part in the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2024, organized by the Campus Network and the United Nations Academic Impact. The ambitious program is intended to help make the UN Sustainable Development Goals and United Nations Academic Impace principles a reality.
Millennium Fellows across the world will embark on a semester-long journey to build skills for a career rooted in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Each Fellow takes on a social impact project.
Minerva University President Mike Magee said the selection of the 10 students is a tribute to the students, staff and faculty of the 12-year-old nonprofit global university. "Our Millennium Fellows want to create a more sustainable and just world. This echoes Minerva University’s commitment to developing responsible, thoughtful global citizens and leaders."
